Deb has been a licensed Realtor since 1985. She started her own firm Barouch &Co in 2002. located on Portland, Maine's Peninsula.
In 2012 Deborah merged her firm with Keller Williams, in Portland, and became The Barouch Team at Keller Williams in Portland. Keller Williams in Portland, Maine is the second highest top producing Keller Williams in the country.
Deb Barouch has lived in Maine since 1975, but grew up in a foreign service family and lived all over the world. This has helped her create rapport with almost anyone, from any culture. She enjoys meeting new clients "from away" and helping them appreciate all that Portland and the state of Maine have to offer.
Deb has a BA degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland in College Park.
She also studied at the University of Santa Clara in CA.
Deb is an immediate Past President of the World Affairs Council of Maine, a non-profit/nonpartisan organization dedicated to international programming and education.
On June 4, 2009 she was the recipient of the "Beatrice Chapman Minott Award" who exemplifies the spirit of the World Affairs Council of Maine".
Deb served on the City of Portland's "Global City task force " in 2008 and recently this task force has been re-vitalized in 2012 to bring more energy to Portland's focus on becoming a truly global city.
In June of 2009 Deb graduated as part of the "Rho" class at The Institute of Civic Leadership, in Portland Maine.This was a 9 month intensive leadership program dedicated to the study of how best to facilitate "leadership" across all sectors: public, private and non-profit. Deb is currently serving on the Institute of Civic Leadership's alumnae committee.
Deb resides in a waterfront community in Yarmouth with her husband Sam.[Seabourne] They have four grown children and three grandchildren. They enjoy boating and exploring the islands of Casco Bay[their home is 100 ft from the ocean, and their neighborhood has deep water anchorage, allowing easy access to nearby islands.
Deb is very “tech savvy” and as a result can direct your selling or buying needs using technology to its’ fullest capabilities. She is also “high touch” her clients say, “We thought we were her only clients"!
Deb recently attained the Realtor "Green" designation. She is also a member of the Maine chapter of the US Green Business Council. Her interest in the environment, lead her to fulfill all the course requirements that allowed her to achieve this designation.She is now poised to help clients with making educated choices on green building materials and everyday green living.
Her home in Yarmouth was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and is ideally suited to enjoying all nature has to offer and has many "green" organic features.
Deb is also a member of Greater Portland Landmarks.
